The Next Generation (NextGen) Committee is dedicated to fostering engagement, growth, and professional development opportunities for emerging security professionals and students interested in the field. Key Mission

Outreach and Engagement
- Establish relationships with universities, colleges, and technical schools to attract students and young professionals to ASIS Puget Sound Chapter.
- Promote chapter membership and activities to students and early-career professionals.

Coordinate outreach efforts to ensure diversity and inclusivity in NextGen programming.

Program Development
- Design and implement initiatives tailored to the needs of students and young professionals, including workshops, mentoring programs, and internships.
- Organize career-oriented events such as job fairs, resume reviews, and skill-building workshops.

Collaborate with chapter leadership and external organizations to identify and address emerging trends in security relevant to younger members.

- Facilitate connections between experienced members and NextGen participants through structured mentorship programs.

- Develop an annual plan for NextGen initiatives that aligns with the chapter’s mission and strategic goals.
- Track participation, engagement, and outcomes for NextGen programs, providing regular reports to chapter leadership.
- Identify areas for growth and improvement in NextGen programming and propose actionable solutions.
Committee Chair Qualifications
Experience:

- Experience in mentorship, youth programming, or professional development, preferably in a nonprofit or professional association setting.
