The Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee serves as a critical liaison between ASIS Puget Sound Chapter, public safety agencies, and law enforcement professionals. This committee is responsible for fostering partnerships, enhancing collaboration, and promoting shared knowledge between the private security and public safety communities. The Committee Chair is instrumental in developing and managing programs that support community safety and professional growth in alignment with the chapter’s mission.
Key Mission

Public Safety and Law Enforcement Liaison
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for public safety professionals engaging with ASIS Puget Sound.

Facilitate dialogue and collaboration between private security organizations and public safety agencies.

Program Development and Coordination
- Design and implement programs, workshops, and initiatives that address current public safety challenges.
- Organize educational events, including panel discussions, certifications, and scenario-based training sessions, to enhance professional expertise.

Collaborate with chapter leadership to ensure programs align with organizational objectives and regional security needs.

Community Outreach and Advocacy
- Represent ASIS Puget Sound Chapter at community forums, public meetings, and industry events.
- Advocate for initiatives that strengthen private-public partnerships in security and public safety.

Promote networking opportunities between security professionals and public safety leaders to foster trust and cooperation.

Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Monitor trends in public safety and law enforcement to identify areas of collaboration and improvement.
- Prepare reports on initiatives, partnerships, and outcomes to share with chapter leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop and track metrics to evaluate the success of public safety programs and engagement efforts.
Committee Chair Qualifications
Experience:

- Experience in law enforcement, public safety, or private security.

Demonstrated experience in public-private partnerships or collaborative initiatives is preferred.
